I have a listing coming on the market next week, so this week has been all about getting the home ready to show. A picture does say a thousand words and first impressions are everything. This home is gorgeous on it’s own, but when you show it at it’s best, it’s spectacular.
The sellers had the home painted inside and out – fresh paint makes everything shine. Even though it’s winter, the landscaping was updated – it’s amazing what fresh mulch and some pruning shears can do.
We brought in professional stagers to set the stage. Staging helps prospective buyers visualize how the home will work for them and makes the home more welcoming. While not inexpensive, the return on staging is generally positive.
Then comes the photos and video. I also use professional photographers. The quality of their work is exceptional, they know what shots to take, they can turn gloomy gray sky blue (as we had to do this week), and they turn around the photos quickly. For this home, I chose to also include a live action video (as compared to a virtual tour). The live action video gives you more of a sense of the flow of the home.
I can’t show you the photos or video yet – but I hope you’re on the seat of your chair in anticipation of the unveiling next week.
